A creative alternative for wigs for children suffering hair loss.

Artist Holly Christensen made a creative alternative for wigs for friends daughter who was suffering from hair loss due to cancer. The Rapunzel-style wig was made of soft yellow yarn with flowers strewn throughout the long braid.

She is now the founder of Magic Yarn Project which is a charity supporting children suffering hair loss due to chemotherapy treatment. The Magic Yarn Project use yarn to create comfortable, wearable hair pieces inspired by Disney characters.

The organisation is funded by donations only and is 100% voluntary based.
